Vehicle to Vehicle Communications

Request Number N572245
Need details
Description

We are looking for low cost, robust and secure Vehicle to Vehicle (V2V) and Vehicle to Infrastructure (V2I) communications solutions.

Background

Inter-vehicle (or Vehicle to Vehicle) communications will provide vital safety and traffic data for the autonomous vehicles that will appear on the road in the near future. IncWell's partner seeks technology to faciliate that communication in a cost-effective and reliable manner. Technologies currently marketed are too costly for wide scale implementation.

IncWell's partner is also interested in learning about Vehicle to Infrastructure technologies as well.

Key Success Criteria
  • Solutions and systems which are validated at the prototype level are of most interest
  • Solutions which are available at low cost for large scale deployment across the vehicle ranges: A class through E class
  • Affordable as part of sensor subsystem in a mid-range vehicle: target of less than $20 (not including the connectivity module)
  • Minimum TRL 6

Possible Approaches

Any appropriate technology is of interest.

Approaches not of interest

Early stage product concepts in this area are not of interest at this time.

Preferred Collaboration types
  • To Be Negotiated
