RFP Title

Seeking Collaborators in Telemedicine Treatment of Addiction
RFP Description

NineSigma, on behalf of InteraSolutions, seeks organizations interested in collaborating to deploy an opioid addiction risk assessment protocol in telemedicine systems that enable remote prevention and treatment of addiction.

NineSigma invites interested candidates to submit a brief, non-confidential statement of interest.

Background

InteraSolutions, one of the winners of the Challenge Phase of the Ohio Opioid Technology Challenge, has developed an opioid risk assessment screening app that identifies patients with risk factors for opioid abuse.  The Screen for Opioid Abuse Risk (SOAR™) is a HIPAA/HITECH compliant psychological assessment tool.  After a patient completes a 10-15-minute web-based questionnaire, the system provides immediate assessment of that patient’s risk for addiction, permitting health care providers to recommend appropriate care and treatment that avoids addiction.

Please see InteraSolutions' website (https://interasolutions.com) for more information about their tool.

InteraSolutions is especially interested in being able to integrate the SOAR™ tool in telemedicine systems that enable connections to vulnerable groups such as farmers or manufacturing workers.

Collaboration partners should:

  • Be located in the United States, preferably in Ohio
  • Already be developing a telemedicine system or already have a telemedicine system deployed
