Yanfeng Automotive seeks flexible, cost-effective resilient heating system that can be formed and integrated into slightly curved or substantially non-planar interior surfaces.
Yanfeng wants to incorporate heated surfaces into automotive interior panels. Heating elements must either be made to shape/size for incorporation below a molded, finished panel surface or must be formable when applied to the initial substrate to allow molding of the that substrate to final 3D shape. Yanfeng seeks a supply of textiles or foils that they can purchase rather than manufacture themselves.
Has sufficient flexibility and extensibility to permit 3D forming
Feasible for small radii
Preferably, can be cut to whatever shape needed without creating hot spots and without losing function
Alternatively, can be prefabricated to desired shape
Able to be handled and positioned by robot
Is invisible on finished surface
Meets automotive requirements, e.g. performance temperature range -40⁰C to 90⁰C, humidity 90-100%, conditions involving cycling of heat and humidity, electric voltage limitations of vehicle, etc.
Is suitable for surfaces up to 2 square meters
Is compatible with compression molding, back injection, foam-in-place or press lamination
Must withstand > 200⁰C for at least 30 seconds
As a nice-to-have feature, can enable either homogenous or partial heating over an area
Approaches not of Interest
Suppliers who do not have an interest in supplying to the automotive market
