We are seeking a cover solution (EX-proof) of our products. The solution can be chosen freely based on the possible approaches listed below.
Important for us is a waterproof solution accordingly to IP65 – IP 68 standard.
The cover has to be resistant against a reference pressure of 12.5 bars. This can be proven by a onetime testing up to 50 bars or a 100% testing of 12.5 bars. The whole cover needs to be tested accordingly IEC EN60079.
To fulfil these requirements, we are using our existing design (Ø 81) at the moment, which consists of the following parts:
Part 1: Aluminum / Stainless Steel cover part
Part 2: Glass window
Part 3: Sealing Compound
Part 5: Wafer Spring
Part 26: O-Ring
The annual demand is around 30.000pcs.
At the moment the assembly (including the sealing) and testing is done manually.
This leads to high efforts and potential failures.
It is possible to have a look at the manual process in our manufacturing facility to have a common understanding.

Create a new design which has the EX-thread (M75) and a glass cover to allow a look at the display (see product picture). You can provide us the full assembled covers.
Optimize the assembly process of our design (described previously)
Create a process or a machine which works with our existing design. You can provide us the full assembled covers or all information for the related machine / process.
