Siemens Building Technologies is seeking a wristband solution for people tracking in a healthcare environment (for example worn by babies to prevent abductions, tracking of elderly patients or tracking hospital staff). A non-proprietary solution that can be integrated into the Siemens indoor network is preferred.
Depending on the use cases the wristbands could be worn by babies to prevent abductions, tracking of elderly patients or even hospital staff.
Key success Criteria
Different use cases involving both babies and adults
Soft and comfortable wristband
Alert when cutting/removing the band
Button to trigger alerts (configurable via firmware)
Battery lifetime of >1 year (500msec, -20dBm)
LED status indicator (configurable via firmware, could be battery status)
We are looking for innovative approaches/ideas/final products for wristbands that should be offered as stand-alone, but with the possibility to communicate with the protocols mentioned in the Key Success Criteria.
Approaches not of Interest
Proprietary solutions are not of interest since we would like to be able to integrate the wristbands into the Siemens indoor network.

We are looking for concise, non-confidential proposals. The proposal should:
