Seeking Experts in Plant Enzymology
RFP Description

NineSigma, on behalf of a Fortune 200 company, seeks to identify plant enzymologists with significant experience for compensated consultation. Additionally, experts with access to laboratory facilities to perform contract research are highly sought.

Background

NineSigma’s client processes large quantities of plant-based products annually.

To that end, the client seeks to connect with individuals and organizations with significant experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Bioinformatics
  • Biochemistry
  • Genetics
  • Enzymology
  • Protein structural biology

The respondent will work with the client to:

  1. develop sequence/structure-based strategies for discovering or modifying enzymes
  2. identify the pathways responsible for natural compound degradation

Furthermore, the client wishes to identify those facilities with appropriate laboratory capacity and capability to conduct comprehensive experiments to verify the research.

Ideally, the client would like to connect with an individual or organization that can provide substantial insight into this technical space as well as the ability to function as an experimental research partner.

Anticipated Project Phases or Project Plan
Phase 1 – Evaluation of Qualifications

  • Completed during Q3 2018

Phase 2 – Initiation of Coordinated Research

  • Beginning Q4 2018

Criteria for Moving from Phase 1 to Phase 2
Client will consider for advancement those individuals or organizations with superior knowledge and ability to conduct practical experiments to explore potential pathways of interest.
