OSC seeks organizations who are interested in commercial applications for a soy-based coupling agent for polymer composites.
The Ohio Soybean Council has developed an engineered soy-based resin with maleic anhydride functionality and a high melting point, making the resin suitable for use as a coupling agent in polymer composites. This resin is offered as a solid powder or pellet for easy handling and mixing in polymer composite formulations.

Compatibility with nylon, polyolefins, and polyesters
Enables polymer/polymer and polymer/filler coupling
Acts as adhesion promoter in (liquid) coatings
Acts as dispersing agent for powder coating and toners
