ICL Innovation is seeking plant stimulants that promote increased yield, resilience and health and that are effective in real life conditions across soils, climates and over time.

Key Success Criteria
  • Increase yield and improve plant quality
  • Improve abiotic stress resistance (against drought, salinity, and/or temperature extremes)
  • Be effective in actual field conditions
  • Be effective in a range of soils
  • Be viable economically
  • Solver has relevant field data


Possible Approaches

Include, but are not limited to:

  • Silicates for water soluble fertilizer blends in regular pH conditions
  • Synthetic molecules
  • Extracts


Approaches not of interest
  • Known Phosphate Solubilizing Micro-organisms (PSM)
  • Known Nitrogen Fixing bacteria (NF)
  • Micro-organisms proven effective in labs only
  • Technologies limited to transgenic species
  • ICL Innovation is not interested in responses which offer approaches which are already commercialized and available on the market

Items to be submitted

ICL Innovation welcomes responses from academic or research institutions or other organizations who are interested in developing innovative technologies and sharing intellectual property in licensing.  Approaches with demonstrated feasibility are preferred, but early stage approaches with sound scientific concepts are also welcome.  Technologies aligned with business interest will enjoy full funding until implemented on an industrial scale.
